Meeting to discuss the forthcoming amendments to the tax legislation in 2019

On 16 October 2018, the specialized Tax Committee at the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce organized and held a meeting with representatives of the National Revenue Agency to discuss the planned amendments to the tax legislation in Bulgaria after 1 January 2019. Dobrev & Lyutskanov Law Firm was represented by Ms Maria Endreva, attorney-at-law. The following specific issues were discussed: (i) the VAT effects from the use of meal vouchers in the context of the proposed amendments to the VAT Act resulting from Directive 2016/1065/EU; (ii) the changes in the reporting of sales at points of sale – costs, benefits and technical capabilities of the NRA systems; (iii) the introduction of mandatory prior declaration on an electronic platform for the purposes of the fiscal control exercised by the NRA and the upcoming measures against the tax base erosion of local undertakings, profit shifting and tax avoidance (the BEPS Plan and Directive 2016/1164/EU), and others.
