Dobrev & Lyutskanov Law Firm Joined in the Publication of Global Legal Insights 2021 On the Topics of Ai, Machine Learning and Big Data
Dobrev & Lyutskanov Law Firm joined for a second consecutive year in the issue of the Global Legal Insights series. The Global Legal Insights series is issued yearly and is aimed towards analysis of the legislation of the targeted countries and its development in the context of international business in separate fields. Dobrev & Lyutskanov Law Firm participated in the issue, dedicated to the regulation of AI, machine learning and big data.
In May 2021 the GLI to AI, Machine Learning and Big Data 2021 was published whereas Dobrev & Lyutskanov Law Firm joined with an analysis of the Bulgarian legislation on these topics. In the analysis were reviewed the questions concerning the creation of AI and self-teaching algorithms, as well as the ownership over algorithms created without human interference. The topics of rights over big data and the requirements for personal data protection during automated data processing were also discussed in the analysis. Special attention is dedicated to the development of EU legislative initiatives in this field, including an analysis of the evolution of the concepts concerning the liability for damages caused and the distribution of obligations between the persons, who create and use systems, which include or rely on artificial intelligence.
