59th UIA Congress in Valencia
Mr. Grozdan Dobrev, Partner, in his capacity of National Representative of UIA for Bulgaria, attended the 59th UIA Congress which took place in Valencia, Spain from October 28th to November 1st.
One of the main issues discussed was the subject of migrations and their political, economic and social repercussions, as, at the present hardly any parts of the world can escape from or ignore this trend. This is a topic that is directly connected to lawyers as well, as there is increasing probability they will have to defend migrants.
Other discussed topics were Sports Law, Intellectual Property Law – Trademarks, Telecommunication Law, Media Law,Human Rights,as well as the important issues of the defense of lawyers in the performance of their functions as defenders and the freedom of exercising the legal profession in the context of defense of the defense.
More than 900 participants – lawyers from all over the world, attended the Congress.
