Conference on the Implementation of the EU Law during the 2007 – 2017 Period

Period On 29 September 2017, the conference on the implementation of the EU law during the 2007 – 2017 period was held by the Supreme Bar Council and the Bulgarian Association for European Law. A special guest of the event organized in relation to the tenth anniversary of Bulgaria’s membership of the European Union was Professor Koen Lenaerts, President of the Court of Justice of the European Union. In his opening speech, he outlined the importance of and need for interpretation and implementation of the EU law playing a crucial role in the protection of democracy and human rights. Outstanding Bulgarian experts, such as Justice Alexander Arabadjiev, Judge at the European Court of Justice, Justice Alexander Kornezov, Judge at the General Court, and many Bulgarian experts in EU law took part in the conference.
